It is with a heavy heart we announce the untimely passing of life member,
Past President, Past Chief and Schodack Center Fire Commissioner Dave Smith. We appreciate all of Dave's guidance,
leadership and contributions to the East Greenbush Fire Company and Schodack Center Fire District. Please keep
Dave and his family in your thoughts and prayers. He will be missed by all.
Our sincere gratitude to Dave's family for allowing us to show our respect through participation.

At approximately 1500 hours on October 22nd, the
Clinton Heights Fire Department was dispatched for a reported structure fire at 175 Columbia Turnpike.
Upon arrival a second alarm was called and several departments,
including East Greenbush Truck 11 and Engine 9, were dispatched.[...]

At approximately 1530 hours on September 4 th, the
Rensselaer City Fire Department was dispatched for a reported structure fire in the area of
the 1600 block of Fourth St. First arriving Rensselaer units found a single family house
well off with exposure problems on the B and D sides. Rensselaer Ladder 1 transmitted the
second alarm for box 29-02 bringing in mutual aid departments.[...]

East Greenbush Fire Company President Michael Benson, Jr. announces the recipients of the
Barbara J. Lehmann Memorial Scholarship Program for 2016. Through the Barbara J. Lehmann Memorial Scholarship Program, the
East Greenbush Fire Company provides scholarship grants to qualified applicants seeking to advance their education in their chosen field of study.
The 2016 recipients are Heidi Smith, Christie Cullum and Jacob Preston. Ms. Smith is entering SUNY Cobleskill, Ms. Cullum is entering
The Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy and Mr. Preston is entering SUNY Cortland. Each recipient was presented
with a Scholarship of $500.00 at the Fire Company’s August 16th meeting. The East Greenbush Fire Company commends these students
for their academic achievements and pursuit of higher education.

At approximately 8:00 PM on Saturday, August 13, 2016,
the East Greenbush Emergency Communication Center dispatched the East Greenbush Fire District
No. 3 to the Buckeye fuel terminal located on American Oil Road in the Port of Rensselaer for
a reported large fuel spill. Upon arrival, Chief Lehmann was advised by terminal staff that
approximately 600 gallon of gasoline spilled in the containment area around the holding tanks
and an active fuel leak existed.[...]

Monday July 4th at 3:30 PM East Greenbush Fire Dept was dispatched for a brush fire on
Phillips Rd. EGFD Car 2 arrived and found a large farm pile burning.[...]
Sunday July 3rd at 3:15 East Greenbush Fire Dept.was
dispatched for a car fire on the I-90 Exit 10 west bound off ramp. Upon arrival Engine 7 found
a fully involved car fire which was quickly extinguished.
