Our first fish night is Friday March 24th 2023.
Our world-famous (OK, maybe not "world famous", but still absolutely delicious) Fish Fry Nights
will be held on the following Fridays: March 24th, March 31st and April 7th
(Good Friday) - from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at the 68 Phillips Rd. Firehouse.

We are now accepting reservations for the our renovated Pavilion.

However per our attorney's guidance we regret to inform you that our Banquet Hall is still shut down for rental use.
We are not accepting any new Banquet Hall reservations at this time.

On January 28th the East Greenbush Fire Dept responded to Columbia turnpike and Miller Rd.for a two car accident.

1/23/2023 Mutual Aid call with Rensselaer City F.D. on Irwin Stewart Expressway.
On January 23rd at 7:25 AM Rensselaer City Fire Dept responded to the Irwin Stewart Expressway for a
reported Truck fire. Upon arrival they requested tankers from East Greenbush and Best Luther as a precaution.

1/19/2023 Rensselaer County Fire Training Facility Dedication.
On Thursday January 19th The new Rensselaer County Fire Training Facility was dedicated
by County Executive Steve McLaughlin with Bureau of Public Safety Director Jay Wilson, Tim Boel, a member of the training facility
steering committee and the East Greenbush Fire Company,Inc., and Bishop Norman Macklin.

The new Rensselaer County Emergency Services Training Complex will offer advanced training and preparation to emergency services
personnel who provide life-saving services throughout the county.

11/19/2022 Mutual Aid fire on Washington Ave. Ext.in the Defreestville Fire Department.
Just before 11 pm on Saturday November 19, 2022, EGFD pagers were activated
for the second alarm for a reported barn fire on Washington Ave. Ext. in the Defreestville Fire Department.
Initial units were faced with a fully involved Barn which was endangering a nearby residence. But they knocked the fire
down after 30 minutes.

Units from Wynantskill, Rensselaer, Clinton Heights, Best Luther, East Greenbush Fire departments responded along with North Greenbush Ambulance.

On Friday, November 181th, the East Greenbush Fire Company Held 2 events
at the Park station: a drive thru BBQ and then a trivia night.

On Sunday, September 11th, the East Greenbush Fire Company celebrated
the Annual Life Member’s Day. Several Life Members gathered under the Chief Frank Becker Memorial Pavilion
to enjoy an afternoon of camaraderie.

8/16/2021 Barbara J. Lehmann Scholarship Program.
East Greenbush Fire Company President Trace Cullum proudly announces the recipient of
the Barbara J. Lehmann Memorial Scholarship Program for 2022. Through the Barbara J. Lehmann Memorial Scholarship Program,
the East Greenbush Fire Company provides scholarship grants to qualified applicants seeking to advance their education in their chosen field of study.

The 2022 recipient is Lauren Preston. Ms. Preston, a 2022 graduate of Columbia High School,
is entering North Carolina State University in August and will be focusing on a Fashion and Textile Management curriculum.
Ms. Preston was introduced and presented with her Scholarship award during the August meeting of the East Greenbush Fire Company.

The Fire Company commends this college entrant for her admirable academic achievements and pursuit of a higher education.
|

8/13/2022 FASNY 150th Annivesary Parade in Tarrytown.
On August 13th 2022 our department participated in the FASNY 150th Anniversary Parade hosted
by the Tarrytown Fire Department and the Firefighters Association of the State of New York in Tarrytown, New York.
|
Our department won Best Overall Color Guard, Best Appearing 21 & Over in Line, and 2nd Best Overall.
|

In Honor of Kathy Miller.
Our department has lost a dear friend and longtime member.
|
Kathy was the life of many social events and activities. She was at nearly every fundraiser for many years.
|
More importantly, she was an advisor to our Explorer Post 11 for many years. She was instrumental in maintaining a pipeline of new members for not only our department, but surrounding agencies as well.
|
Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family, which includes her husband (and longtime member) Marty.
|

to a smoking house behind the city library. Upon arrival Rensselaer Car 1 reported an active

At 10:30 AM on July 8th, 2022,Averill Park Fire Department
was dispatched to Old route 66 for a reported Barn Fire.

On Saturday, June 19, 2022 members from the East Greenbush Fire Co. participated in the
annual Hudson Valley Volunteer Fireman's Association Parade. The EGFD took to the streets of Wallkill
and won 1st Place in our division (for 26 marcher or more) .

PUBLIC NOTICE
EAST GREENBUSH FIRE DISTRICT #3
The monthly meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners, East Greenbush
Fire District #3 shall be held on the second (2) Monday of the month
at 7:00pm. The location shall be East Greenbush Fire Company
Headquarters located at 68 Phillips Road, Town of East Greenbush.
The above shall be followed unless the Board makes prior notice of a change.
This is in compliance with Article 7 of the General Municipal Law
relating to meetings.

Directions to Firehouse at 68 Phillips Rd.
From I-787 take exit 3 onto Dunn Memorial Bridge, continue on US-20 East/US-9 South for 3.8 miles.
Eighth traffic light, at Columbia/Price Chopper plaza, will be Phillips Rd.
Turn right onto Phillips, go .7 miles, firehouse on right. Parking and entrance in rear of building.
From I-90 east take exit 9 and turn right onto US-4 South, go 2 miles until the intersection with
Columbia Turnpike/US-20 West/US-9 North. Turn right onto Columbia turnpike and go .6 miles
At Columbia/Price Chopper plaza, will be Phillips Rd.
Turn left onto Phillips, go .7 miles, firehouse on right. Parking and entrance in rear of building.
