The East Greenbush Fire Company has partnered with the Ladies Auxiliary to bring back
our famous pizza on December 9th 2023.
We offer 8 count round Pizza, 10 piece bone-in Chicken Wings, Mozzarella Sticks and
our fresh garden Salad.
We would like to thank you for your continued support.
Pizza Night will be from 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM at our
Firehouse Banquet Hall located at 68 Phillips Road in East Greenbush.
Phone orders will be accepted after 2 pm until 7:30 PM: 518-477-6503 or 518-479-4168.
Phone-Orders would be greatly appreciated.
We are now accepting reservations for the our renovated Pavilion.

However per our attorney's guidance we regret to inform you that our Banquet Hall is still shut down for rental use.
We are not accepting any new Banquet Hall reservations at this time.

9/24/2023 Tunnel to Towers 5k run.
On September 24, 2023, members of the East Greenbush Fire Company participated in the Tunnel to Towers 5K in NYC.
|
The 5K retraces the final footsteps of FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller.
Siller was just finishing his shift when he received word that a plane hit the North Tower; determined to carry out his duty, Siller drove to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel,
but it was closed to traffic for security purposes.
Siller then strapped 60 lbs. of firefighting gear to his back and ran to the Twin Towers, where he lost his life working to save others.

The East Greenbush Fire Company was proud to be present to not only support the wonderful
work of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, but to challenge our members to maintain their physical fitness, show solidarity with our fellow first responders across the globe, and to pay our respects to those that have made the ultimate sacrifice as a result of 9/11.

9/10/2023 Life Members day.
On Sunday, September 10th, the East Greenbush Fire Company celebrated
the Annual David C. Smith Memorial Life Member’s Day. Several Life Members gathered under the Chief Frank Becker Memorial Pavilion
to enjoy an afternoon of camaraderie.

9/09/2023 Green County Parade.
On Saturday, September 9, 2023 members from the East Greenbush Fire Co. participated in the 135th Annual Greene
County
Fireman's Association Convention hosted by Coxsackie Hose Co. No.3. The EGFD took to the streets of coxsackie and came home with first place trophies for best
out of county color guard, best appearing out of county apparatus, best overall out of county,
and best firematic unit 15-and-over out of county.

We also take this opportunity to thank the Greene County Volunteer Fireman's Association for allowing us to
participate in an excellent convention.

August 8, 2023 Isabella Rexius was presented with her Barbara J. Lehmann Memorial Scholarship award.

the Barbara J. Lehmann Memorial Scholarship Program for 2023. |
Through the Barbara J. Lehmann Memorial Scholarship Program, the East Greenbush Fire Company
provides scholarship grants to qualified applicants seeking to advance their education in their chosen field of study.
The 2023 recipient is Isabella Rexius. Ms. Rexius, a 2023 graduate of Columbia High School, is
entering Louisiana State University in August and will be matriculating on a pre-med Biological Sciences curriculum. |
Ms. Rexius was presented with her Scholarship award during a special ceremony on August 8, 2023.
The East Greenbush Fire Company commends this college entrant for her admirable academic achievements and pursuit of a higher education. |
7/25/2023 Mutual Air Tanker Shuttle Drill.
Tuesday Night's drill was a mutual aid Tanker shuttle drill using East Greenbush Box 11-08.
the dump site was set up on Empire State Blvd, and two fill sites were set up at the Schodack Plaza and across from the DPW garage on Gilligan Rd.

On Saturday June 24, 2023 the EGFD responded to a two car accident on Troy rd.

6/17/2023 Parade.
On Friday June 16, 2023 the EGFD participated in the Mardi Gras parade in West Glen Falls then on Saturday, June 17, 2023
members from the East Greenbush Fire Co. participated in the
annual Hudson Valley Volunteer Fireman's Association Parade. The EGFD took to the streets of West Glens Falls and they came home with 1st place in their division.

6/2/2023 Mutual aid structure fire in Rensselaer.
Around 6:08 PM on 6/2/2023 Rensselaer Fire Department was dispatched for an apartment fire on Forbes Ave.
EGFD T-11 was special called to assist with access to the 6th floor.

6/2/2023 Mutual aid brush fire in Rensselaer Fire Department.
Around 1:10 PM on 6/2/2023 a brush fire was reported on in the hollow area in Rensselaer.
Mutual aid was activated for tankers, ATV's and manpower to help fight the brush fire.

6/1/2023 Staats Island Rd. Mutual aid brush fire in Castleton Fire Department.
Around 12:29 PM on 6/1/2023 a brush fire was reported on Staats Island Rd. in Castleton.
. Upon arrival the first arriving unit saw a fire was along the tracks for approximately 1 mile, which had extended into the Papscanee Island nature preserve.
For the third time in four days a 2nd alarm was activated for tankers, ATV's and manpower.

Around 4:25 PM on 5/30/2023 a large wood pile fire was reported in Poestenkill.

Around 7:52 PM on 5/29/2023 a structure fire was reported in Prospect Heights
. Upon arrival of the first arriving unit a deck fire was observed and the 2nd alarm was activated.

Around 2:36 PM on 5/9/2023 a structure fire involving barns was reported at 7 Clove Rd.in the town of Castleton.

Around 3:30 PM on 4/13/2023 a large fire involving 3 trailers was reported in the Clinton Heights Fire District
on Columbia Turnpike. Responding CHFD units confirmed a large fire and immediately called for a 2nd alarm.[...]

The monthly meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners, East Greenbush
Fire District #3 shall be held on the second (2) Monday of the month
at 7:00pm. The location shall be East Greenbush Fire Company
Headquarters located at 68 Phillips Road, Town of East Greenbush.
The above shall be followed unless the Board makes prior notice of a change.
This is in compliance with Article 7 of the General Municipal Law
relating to meetings.

From I-787 take exit 3 onto Dunn Memorial Bridge, continue on US-20 East/US-9 South for 3.8 miles.
Eighth traffic light, at Columbia/Price Chopper plaza, will be Phillips Rd.
Turn right onto Phillips, go .7 miles, firehouse on right. Parking and entrance in rear of building.
From I-90 east take exit 9 and turn right onto US-4 South, go 2 miles until the intersection with
Columbia Turnpike/US-20 West/US-9 North. Turn right onto Columbia turnpike and go .6 miles
At Columbia/Price Chopper plaza, will be Phillips Rd.
